Program: Brisbane Bridge players go virtual to conquer COVID isolation

Space to play or pause, M to mute, left and right arrows to seek, up and down arrows for volume.

Sitting at a laptop in her home in Kenmore, with a cup of iced coffee milk in her hand, Anne Russell is directing a game of bridge.

"It's amazing what we can do now, that we didn't know we could six months ago," she says.

When coronavirus forced a stop to in-person games at the Kenmore Bridge Club, Anne led the charge to help the Club's members transition to playing online.

Her tireless work to teach members the necessary skills to play 'virtually' and maintain their strong social connections has meant the club has thrived.

It's also seen Anne nominated as a finalist in the inaugural ABC Radio Brisbane Community Spirit Awards in the category of 'community in social media'.
